More to come

This is what I have done so far. More is in the works. I'm working on something for my brand new granddaughter, born on Friday. I also have a very special "Quiet" book, that I made for both Holly and Joe when they were little, with little activities like learning to zip, tie shoes, button and buckle. Soon it will be ready and posted on my blog.

Please go to my etsy shop, www.stitchedbylyn.etsy.com, to purchase anything through Paypal. And let me know what you think.

Thanks so much for reading this blog.

Recycled T shirt dress

My last item for now, is a recycled T-shirt dress for little girls. Holly had purchased an Alaska T shirt on their honeymoon, but couldn't wear it. So, it has just been sitting around for 8 years. One day she asked if I could make it into something for one of the girls to wear, like a dress, or something else, so it ...could be used. After thinking about it, I designed a little sundress for Laney.

This is a DIY pattern that you can make yourself, if you have one of those souvenir shirts from a trip or vacation. Or, if you are not a sewer, provide the T-shirt and I will make the dress. It fits little girls sizes 3-7. This can be custom made for your little girl.

Nerf Gun Holster

My grandson, Silas, asked me one day, "Grandma, what can you make for me?" I've been making dolls, dresses, crocheted doll capes, snuglis, etc., for his sisters. He said, "Can you make me a doll?" I said, "No, Silas, but what would you like me to make for you?" He suggested a holster to hold his nerf guns. So, for his birthday, I managed to design this. I bought a ready made, one size fits all belt, and added two suede pockets to hold 12 inch nerf guns and their foam bullets.

Another Doll Snugli

I made another Doll Snugli.

Finally, up and running!

I have waited way to long to get this shop up and running, and to let others know about it. So, today I'm doing it. It isn't perfect and I still have other items I want to add, but I thought, I'd better get started and see if anyone would want any of these things for Christmas.

I thought I had to have it perfect before opening, but I have to go back to my original premise of my Etsy shop--start with whatever you have in your hands and see how it goes from there. So, we are off and running.

First two items

Here are my first two items I have listed for sale. A lacy, crocheted Doll cape, which will fit a baby doll, or an American Girl Doll. Shown in white, navy and pink. Also available in black or ivory.

The second is a doll snugli, perfect for the little girl who wants to be a good "mommy" for her doll. It is made of a light denim material, of whatever I happen to have around. My next one will be of navy blue with red flowers. The front pocket is quilted, and can be personalized on the front with the girl's name or the doll's name.
